Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: May 27, 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") applies to all use of hosting, compute, game servers, Quick Apps, networking, and related services provided by Ferrix Systems ("we", "us"). It is incorporated into our Terms of Service. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings in the Terms.
1. Scope
This AUP applies to you, your administrators, your end users, and anyone who accesses resources on your account — including websites, game servers, mail, DNS, proxies, and APIs you operate through our Services.
2. Lawful use
You must comply with all applicable local, national, and international laws and regulations. You may not use the Services to promote, facilitate, or store illegal goods, services, or activity, including fraud, theft, harassment, violence, or exploitation.
3. Malware, abuse, and network harm
The following are prohibited without our prior written permission:
- Distributing or commanding malware, ransomware, spyware, botnets, or remote access tools used for unauthorized control.
- Cryptocurrency mining, hash cracking, or similar high-load workloads not explicitly allowed on your plan.
- Launching or participating in denial-of-service attacks, packet floods, port scanning, or vulnerability probing of third parties or our infrastructure.
- Operating open proxies, open mail relays, or Tor exit nodes used for abuse.
- Harvesting credentials, phishing, or social-engineering campaigns.
- Circumventing quotas, authentication, billing, or technical access controls.
4. Prohibited content
You may not host, transmit, or link to content that:
- Infringes copyright, trademark, trade secret, or other intellectual property rights (see our Copyright & DMCA Policy).
- Is defamatory, harassing, hateful, or threatening toward individuals or groups.
- Depicts or facilitates child sexual abuse or exploitation (zero tolerance — see Section 8).
- Violates privacy or publicity rights.
- Promotes illegal weapons, drugs, or human trafficking.
5. Spam and unsolicited messages
Bulk or unsolicited email, SMS, chat spam, and similar messaging must comply with our Anti-Spam Policy. We may block outbound mail ports or suspend accounts that damage IP reputation.
6. Game and community services
For game servers and related offerings, you additionally may not:
- Distribute cheats, exploits, or stolen account credentials.
- Use our network to attack game publishers, other hosts, or players.
- Violate the terms of game platforms, mod platforms (including CurseForge), or panel software you use through us.
- Overload shared infrastructure beyond your plan's resources or fair-use expectations.
7. Quick Apps and customer applications
For Quick Apps (such as WordPress or similar appliances) and self-managed software, you are responsible for patching, hardening, and monitoring your applications. Compromised sites used for phishing, malware distribution, or spam are prohibited. We may quarantine or suspend instances that attack third parties or send abuse traffic.
8. Child safety and illegal material
We prohibit child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and content that sexualizes minors. We will remove such material, preserve evidence as law permits, suspend accounts immediately, and report to appropriate authorities and organizations such as the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (CyberTipline) where applicable. If you discover CSAM on our network, report it to abuse@ferrix.systems with location (URL, IP, account) — do not forward the images or files.
9. Investigation and enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations, filter traffic, remove content, suspend services without refund, and terminate accounts. We may share information with abuse desks, upstream providers, and law enforcement. You must cooperate with reasonable requests during investigations. Nothing here obligates us to monitor all activity.
10. Reporting abuse
Send abuse reports to abuse@ferrix.systems with sufficient detail (timestamps, logs, headers, URLs). For copyright claims, use our Copyright & DMCA Policy. For general support unrelated to abuse, use the contact form or support email address published on our website and in the customer portal.
